Enabling BGP in ACI fabric

Hello Friends Today, I will be showing how we can enable BGP in the ACI fabric i.e. between the Spine and the Leaf switches. Between the Spine and the leaf switches, only two protocols are run. One is BGP and the other is ISIS. ISIS is enabled by default. You need to manually configure / enable BGP. The BGP session that we bring up between the Spine and the leaf is MP-BGP session and the Spine nodes always act as a route-reflector. The MP-BGP session is only required for External L3 connections... [More]

Verifying ACI fabric with APIC CLI

Hello Friends, Today, I am going to share how you can verify the ACI fabric from the APIC CLI (Command Line Interface). Though we can do the same thing from the GUI but the fastest We also need to know how to look at things from the CLI. For the demonstration, we shall be using the below topology:   First of all, We need to understand the directory structure that is maintained by the APIC controller. Once you login into the APIC controller using the ssh, you will be in the home directory... [More]

Hello Friends, Today, I will be sharing an interesting issue which we noticed during one of our migration projects. The feature that i am going to discuss today is the OSPF Local-RIB feature. In order to understand the feature, lets try to create the problematic condition. Consider the below topology: In the above topology, Rx router has the Loopback address of x.x.x.x/32 (ex. R1 has a loopback of All the nodes are running basic OSPF configuration which is advertising the physic... [More]
